Welcome

Concerned About Wind Turbines (CAWT) is a group of Aberdeenshire residents who are concerned about the rapid proliferation of onshore wind turbines in Aberdeenshire. CAWT and the CAWT website are managed part-time and on a voluntary basis.

The CAWT website collates much of the knowledge and experience gathered by many supporters over the last few years. The CAWT website also aims to highlight inaccuracies and false or dubious claims made by some wind energy developers, particularly in Aberdeenshire.

May 2012: the CAWT map shows the location of over 1,300 wind turbines at various stages of planning in Aberdeenshire. Click the map to view it full-size.
